Catholics rely on Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium to understand the mystery of Christ for the Church. The Catechism describes Sacred Scripture as "the speech of God as it is put down in writing under the breath of the Holy Spirit" (CCC 81).
Bible Study is a small group for those interested in diving into Sacred Scripture and learning more about what it contains. The group reads various books of the Bible throughout the year and discusses the scriptures read each week.
For anyone who wants to become more familiar with scripture to understand our Catholic faith better, this is an opportunity to explore books that are not commonly used for readings throughout the liturgical year.
Bible Study is held in the Newman Center.
